Employee Voices

VitalCaring’s interdisciplinary team, comprising clinicians and various healthcare professionals, collaborates closely to coordinate care and services for our patients and their families. We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care at every interaction with every patient.

In all of my experiences with nursing, providing care to our home bound patients with VitalCaring is my favorite! I feel blessed to help our patients navigate their health needs and witness positive outcomes through our team’s collaborative care.

Transitioning from the field into my role as Branch Director has been a big change, especially when it comes to balancing work and family. With the support of my husband and the flexibility of our amazing leaders at VitalCaring, I’ve been able to thrive in this position. VitalCaring truly recognizes that work-life balance matters, and that’s been crucial to my growth and success here.

I have been in home health 13 years of my 16 years of nursing. I enjoy the flexibility of work, but more importantly I really enjoy being able to learn my patients on a deeper, more personal level. This gives me great opportunity to assist more with their needs and give educational instruction that can help improve overall health outcomes.

Home health has been my passion for 12 years now. It has allowed me to become a part of many families I never would have known. As therapists, we are better able to equip our patients with the knowledge and tools they need to safely age in place, which is incredibly rewarding.

Employee Spotlight

At VitalCaring, our team members bring compassion, expertise, and genuine caring to every patient interaction. Meet Angeline HubbardJohnson, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Kingwood, Texas, whose commitment to patient education and community partnerships is making a meaningful impact both inside and outside the home.

As the primary LVN serving one of VitalCaring’s assisted living facility partners, Angeline plays an important role in delivering personalized care while helping residents better understand and manage their health. Her passion for education has helped strengthen relationships within the community and expand access to home health services, growing the partnership from serving one patient to nineteen.

Angeline provides monthly educational presentations for residents and staff on topics that promote healthier living. Most recently, she led a session on heart-healthy nutrition, sharing practical guidance on cardiac diets and healthy lifestyle choices in a way that was engaging, approachable, and easy to understand.

For Angeline, nursing is about more than providing clinical care—it’s about building trust, empowering patients with knowledge, and helping people feel confident in managing their health. Whether she’s caring for patients in their homes or speaking with members of the community, she is committed to making a positive difference every day.

Team members like Angeline reflect what makes VitalCaring special: a dedication to compassionate care, meaningful relationships, and improving the lives of the patients and communities we serve.

Some people make a difference wherever they go. For Jessica James, BSW, a social worker at our Crockett hospice branch, serving others isn’t limited to her role at work—it’s something she carries into many areas of her life.

Jessica was recently recognized as a Community Champion Honoree at the 2026 Prestige International Banquet Gala. Hosted annually by First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church’s Women of Purpose Ministry, the event celebrates individuals whose leadership, service, and dedication are creating meaningful change in their communities.

As a social worker, Jessica provides compassionate support and guidance to hospice patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Beyond her work at VitalCaring, she continues that same spirit of service as the founder of Jessica James Ministries and CEO of Girls With a Purpose, a nonprofit organization that mentors and empowers young girls through leadership development, personal growth, and faith-based community involvement.

Through community outreach events, motivational speaking, and mentorship, Jessica has created opportunities for others to build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover their purpose. Her unwavering commitment to serving others is what earned her recognition as a Community Champion, a reflection of the positive impact she makes both inside and outside of VitalCaring.

Congratulations, Jessica, on this well-deserved honor. Thank you for representing VitalCaring with compassion, purpose, and genuine care every day.

Meet Misty, the Corinth and Tupelo On Call Nurse. Misty is a fierce advocate for her patients and continues to go above and beyond in all aspects of her job. Her patients and their families see her wisdom, compassion, empathy, and humor and love her for it! We are thankful to have Misty as apart of the VitalCaring team in Mississippi!

We’re thrilled to introduce Laci, RN, BD, Branch Director at our Southaven, MS location. Laci brings a wealth of experience in both home health and hospice care, and her dedication to patients and teams alike is truly inspiring.

Here’s what her colleagues have to say about her impact:

“Laci truly embodies compassion. She’s always ready to go the extra mile for both patients and team members. As a servant leader, her wide-ranging skills make a difference, not only for our home health patients but also for those transitioning to hospice care.”

Our team members are vital to the care we deliver. Meet Andrea, one of VitalCaring’s talented physical therapists in Florida. Physical therapy is a critical part of our home-based program. At VitalCaring, Andrea’s role is to deliver exemplary care while championing her patient’s recovery so that they can have a higher quality of life. We are so fortunate to have Andrea be a part of our team and witness the lives she changes daily.

Andrea is from a very small town in Pennsylvania called Stewartstown “that is barely on the map,” as she refers to it. After receiving her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augstine, Andrea went to work in the outpatient setting where she treated pediatric to geriatric patients with a myriad of acute and chronic conditions.

After working several years in outpatient therapy, she made the move to work in the home health setting with VitalCaring Group in March and so far ‘loves every second of it.’

As a busy mom and avid explorer, Andrea values the time working in this setting affords her with her family. “When I’m not busy being a mom, I love to read, paint, go to the beach, and do anything outdoors,” Andrea said.

A home-based rehabilitation treatment program affords patients many benefits, but also allows great learning experiences for those administering care. When asked what advice she would give to someone interested in pursuing a career in home-based care, Andrea stated, “Don’t hesitate to try something new – there is going to be so much to learn no matter what setting you go into – and the one-on-one care in home health is unmatched.”

The one-on-one treatment programs Andrea has been able to lead have allowed her to work closely with her patients and witness their confidence grow firsthand. “I love restoring a patient’s confidence in themselves following an exacerbation of symptoms or a fall – allowing the patient to gain trust in themselves and do things they didn’t think they were capable of any longer. It’s a beautiful thing.”

Our Values

At VitalCaring, our values aren’t just words—they’re the way we show up for each other and the people we serve every day. Compassion is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that we listen, understand, and support others with kindness. We stay proactive, stepping up with energy and initiative to make a difference.
