Expanding its reach in Florida, VitalCaring has acquired Jacksonville-based Well Done Home Health. With the acquisition, VitalCaring will invest additional resources to expand home care and hospice services to north Florida residents.

“When we look at acquisition opportunities, we search for home care agencies that have a similar philosophy for care, promote a positive culture, and cling to the same core principles that we do.  Well Done fits that definition,” said VitalCaring President, Luke James.

Well Done’s existing care team, which includes skilled nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, will benefit from VitalCaring’s proven operational and clinical quality practices, tools, and technologies. All of which can be used to streamline operations and help the care teams provide superior home care.  The new tools will also help reduce inefficiencies in administrative and care documentation processes, reducing pressures on care team members, which should help them achieve a better work/life balance.

VitalCaring already serves 16 market areas in Florida, and the acquisition of Well Done will help the agency serve the growing number of seniors who are relocating to Florida. The greater Jacksonville area has a ~9% of the total Medicare enrollees and distinct Medicare home health admits in Florida. “In 2022, more than 280,000 distinct Medicare patients were admitted to home health services,” said VitalCaring CEO, April Anthony. “With this expansion to Jacksonville, we look forward to helping even more Floridians achieve their home health care goals.”

Anthony noted that the families who are already receiving care from Well Done personnel will be able to continue those relationships. “We aren’t going to disrupt those relationships; we are going to devote additional resources that will enhance the care they receive. VitalCaring was formed for clinicians and caregivers who want more than a job,” said Anthony. “We employ compassionate caregivers who are pursuing their calling in healthcare and understand the peace and comfort that home-based care provides.  That’s why we are becoming the provider of choice for caregivers who are called to care.”
