The CMS Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) 5-Star Rating is based entirely on feedback from patients and families about their care experience. Adding to its growing list of markets served, VitalCaring has acquired Tulsa-based Scissortail Home Health. With the acquisition, VitalCaring will invest additional resources to expand home care and hospice services to Tulsa-area residents. Scissortail’s existing care team members, which includes skilled nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, will benefit from VitalCaring’s proven operational and clinical quality practices, tools, and technologies. These assets will be used to streamline operations and help the care teams provide superior home care. The new tools will also help reduce inefficiencies in administrative and care documentation processes, reducing pressure on care team members, which should help them achieve a better work/life balance.
