VitalCaring Expands Home Health and Hospice Footprint Through Acquisition of Carter Healthcare

Dallas, Texas — August 24, 2026 — VitalCaring today announced the acquisition of Carter Healthcare, expanding the organization’s home health and hospice presence in Ohio and West Virginia while strengthening existing operations in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri.

With this acquisition, VitalCaring now operates 89 home health locations and 40 hospice and palliative care locations, in addition to its Texas-based community care division.

VitalCaring provides home health, hospice, palliative, and community care services that help patients receive high-quality care in the place they call home. Led by a team of industry veterans, the organization is focused on delivering exceptional clinical care while supporting the people who make that care possible.
